Our preferred Content Management System (CMS) is usually Concrete CMS. Amongst the most obvious benefits of this system are its customisability (which we love) and the simple but powerful in-page editing offered.
Concrete CMS is an open source content management system and was designed for ease of use, especially for users with a minimum of technical skills.
It enables our clients to edit site content directly from the page with absolute ease and also provides version management for every page.
ConcreteCMS features in-context editing (the ability to edit website content directly on the page, rather than in an administrative interface or using web editor software). Editable areas are defined within concrete5 templates which allow editors to insert blocks of content or edit a block's current content with an intuitive and simple user interface.
Aurora are able to utilise the more advanced features of ConcreteCMS to build custom blocks to meet specific customer requirements. The performance charts on the Rare Whisky 101 website are a great example of how powerful and time saving this bespoke functionality can be.
